UEL Seeks an Instruction Librarian

The University of Evansville seeks creative, energetic librarian to direct successful course-integrated instruction program. Familiarity with trends and new techniques in library instruction, knowledge of course management and web technology, effective communication skills, and a commitment to excellence of library service are essential.

Responsibilities: Plan, implement, promote, and assess instruction program. Coordinate all instruction activities. Teach majority of instruction sessions. Collaborate with teaching faculty. Contribute to all reference services in consultation with Head Reference Librarian. Participate in programmatic priorities, decision-making, and planning of the Libraries. Report to University Librarian.

Qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited graduate program. Prefer one year professional experience in an academic library. Technology savvy. Experience with reference assistance. Prefer teaching experience. Capable of satisfying University faculty requirements for tenure.

Appointment, Salary & Benefits: 12 month tenure-track faculty appointment at instructor or assistant professor rank. Minimum salary: $30,000 plus benefits. University of Evansville is an independent church-related selective admissions university located in a city of 120,000 in southwestern Indiana with enrollment of 2,650 and 180 faculty.
