New at the University of Evansville Libraries!

Library Tours

New students are invited to tour the Library during the opening days of the autumn semester. Tours will highlight key library services offered to students. Each tour will take twenty minutes and will be led by a member of the Libraries' staff. Tour times are noted below.


  • Thursday, Aug. 30 at noon, 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

  • Friday, Aug. 31 at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Saturday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Sunday, September 2 at 2 p.m.. 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

  • Monday, Sept. 3 at noon, 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

“No reservation is needed,” explains Bill Louden, University Librarian. “We'll meet you in the entry lobby of the Library. We look forward to your visit.”

Library Plaza - Done!

The walkway from the Front Oval to the Library's entrance has been completed. An area northwest of the Library is still fenced off as construction on the student center continues.

Ramona Apartments' Sidewalk - Done!


The sidewalk construction was completed last week, including reseeding the lawn.

Construction Update

Last week, a lot happened, construction-wise, around here. Below are pictures of the walkway construction outside the library, the new drive between Hale & Hughes, and the new "flood-resistant" Ramona sidewalk.







You might recall an earlier post where I discerned the pattern of the bricks outside the library. I was wrong.








Short-term parking for Hughes will soon be where the backhoes are.
