What UE Libraries Can Do For You: Literature Criticism Online: Classical and Medieval

Literature Criticism is a great resource for literary scholars. This particular resource focuses on Classical and Medieval resources. Here you can find major themes in stories like Homer’s Illiad along with literary criticism and interpretation. You could find out how Cicero was received by audiences in its time through current representations.

While this does not yet cover all volumes of Classical and Medieval collection, it is supplemented by physical volumes. The most recent are electronic. These e-volumes are scanned copies of the volumes providing exactly what the physical works offer while enabling a user to search the entry like any other electronic resource.

What UE Libraries Can Do For You: PsycInfo

Looking for research on media violence and its effects on the brain? Or a historical look at research during a time when homosexuality was considered a mental disorder? PsycInfo is an excellent place to start for many needs you might have in psychology and neuroscience.

PsycInfo contains over 2,450 journal titles. Coverage begins in the 1800s and continues up to the present with additions added weekly. Many articles since 2001 are presented with both a “cited articles” section as well as “cited by” section to show the network of information for a given article. Many journal titles are covered in their entirety.

Content of PsycInfo includes:

* over 2,450 indexed titles

*Covers most areas of Psychology (general, clinical, applied, theoretical, etc.)

*Some unique journal titles not found in other databases

*Provides cited and sometimes citing references
